![]() Worrying about it, I searched and found a way to restore that classic look by changing the colours of the Window apps using a tool called the "Classic Color Panel". Of course the same or similar 'modern' themes are predominant on Windows 7 and I see the same there - but I can select the old classic theme so for me it is not a problem. ![]() makes the white areas stand out better and the result is a more 'solid' feel to the GUI. Same tool using the classic theme on Windows 7, different font. The image above does not do justice to what I see on the monitor, the image on my laptop monitor is much brighter and more washed out. I find the contrast between the white areas and the background to be indistinct and they tend to blur into one. The background colour to the apps on Win10 are decidely lighter and to my eyes unattractively so. My thought is that the apps we create using VB6 do look worse on Win10 using the more 'modern' themes as supplied by MS. I've just been taking time to look at my mini-app in the context of installing it on other versions of the o/s.
